Individual TherapyFor people who've done enough surviving — and are ready to do something different.
_____
High-functioning people are often the last to ask for help. They manage, adapt, and push through. And for a long time, that works. But there are patterns — in how you relate, how you respond under pressure, how you move through the world — that don't bend to will alone. Understanding them requires a different kind of work.
Individual therapy with me is a focused, depth-oriented process. Although the work is one-on-one, it is inherently relational. We pay attention to how you experience yourself with others, how you make sense of other people, and the patterns that emerge in the space between you and those around you. We also look at the relationship you have with yourself — the ways you protect, criticize, accommodate, disconnect from, or care for different parts of who you are.
Individual therapy with me is a focused, depth-oriented process. We're not cataloging symptoms or teaching generic coping tools. We're looking at the structure of what keeps you stuck — the relational dynamics you carry, the patterns that formed before you had language for them, the ways your nervous system learned to protect you that now get in the way.
This work draws on psychodynamic, somatic, systems, and cognitive-based approaches. The blend is tailored to you. What stays consistent is the commitment to going beyond the surface.
What we will work toward
_______
Clarity on the patterns driving your relational and emotional experience
A stronger capacity to stay regulated in difficult conversations and situations
More effective communication — with yourself and with others
A cleaner sense of who you are outside of the roles and identities you perform
Sustainable change that holds beyond the session
In session we will…
Establish honesty about what's actually happening
Most people arrive with a version of their story they've been telling for a while. Part of the work is creating enough safety to look past it — at the core patterns, fears, and dynamics that are actually driving the experience. This is where the real work begins.
Build accountability for your role in the pattern
Insight without ownership doesn't move anything. We examine how you participate in the dynamics that keep you stuck — not to assign blame, but because that's the only lever you actually have. Accountability here is a form of agency.
Cultivate genuine openness to change
Change isn't just intention — it's the willingness to sit with discomfort, stay curious when the familiar pulls hard, and keep showing up even when progress isn't linear. We work with what makes that genuinely difficult for you, not just what makes it conceptually appealing.
Work with expert guidance tailored to you
The approach adapts to what you bring. Drawing on psychodynamic, somatic, systemic, and cognitive frameworks, sessions are structured around your specific patterns — not a curriculum applied uniformly. What stays consistent is the depth of the lens and the directness of the work.
Implement with intention and track what shifts
Insight generated in session needs to translate into your actual life. We develop specific, concrete practices and strategies — and return to them. What's changing gets named. What isn't gets examined. Movement is the measure.

Let’s see if we are a good fit.
I am not the right therapist for everyone. A consultation is a chance for you to tell me what you’re looking for, ask questions, and get a sense of whether my approach feels right for you. They are generally about 20 minutes, but often go longer to prioritize the goal of us both feeling some clarity and insight by the time we hang up.
